Volunteer

Volunteers can make significant contributions to the operation of the Society and service to the community. 

The Society has a number of committees and activities that can use the talents and leadership of community members.  Please consider donating your time and talents to help us maintain our fun,  welcoming, and vibrant organization. If interested in volunteering, use the contact links below.


Archives/Research: Inventory, document, organize, and prepare displays of the Society's collection of books, documents, photographs, and artifacts. In addition, conduct research and answer queries for information on local and family history. This committee holds its meetings at 1:00 P.M. the first three Wednesdays of the month and as needed throughout the year.  Contact: archive@westjeffersonhillshistoricalsociety.org


Fundraising: Create products and events designed to raise money for the Society. Meets as needed. Contact: fundraising@westjeffersonhillshistoricalsociety.org 


Genealogy: Conduct research and answer queries for information on the history of local families. Contact: genealogy@westjeffersonhillshistoricalsociety.org


Membership: Participate in advertising and events designed to promote membership in the Society.  Maintain an accurate account of current members and publish an annual membership directory. Communications through email. Contact: membership@westjeffersonhillshistoricalsociety.org


Newsletters: Write original articles and/or research already published news articles on local history topics. May also report on Society news, events, and programs.  Meets quarterly to prepare newsletter mailings to members. Programs: Locate and schedule speakers and plan programs to present at Society monthly meetings.  Also set up and provide refreshments at Society meetings. Contact: programs@westjeffersonhillshistoricalsociety.org


Technology: Support the Society's activities through the Society's web site, social media pages, program speaker needs, archive computer tools, and essential printing requirements. Meets in April. All other communications via email. Contact: technology@westjeffersonhillshistoricalsociety.org

Donations

If you don’t have the time to volunteer but you would like to make a financial contribution to the West Jefferson Hills Historical Society, please consider donating today.  

Memorial and honorary donations are a wonderful way to remember and honor someone special.  The Society will notify those concerned that a donation has been made in honor of or in memory of a loved one.

To donate, fill out the appropriate form below and return it to WJHHS at the Jefferson Hills Library, at a WJHHS meeting, via email to wjhhs15025@gmail.com or mail it as noted on the form. WJHHS forms may also be picked up at the main desk of the Jefferson Hills Library.

If you would like to pay using a credit card or PayPal, we accept donations online. To donate online, press the yellow Donate button. Please include any pertinent information in the “COMMENTS” box at the end of your transaction.

The West Jefferson Hills Historical Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
